We appreciate your interest in the UI/UX Designer position at Boon Band. This task is designed to demonstrate your design skills, proficiency with Figma, and understanding of user requirements and user flows.

Project Overview

Our company operates an online sneaker store. We aim to make the shopping experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Task

  1. Create a user flow diagram illustrating how a user would interact with the size filter.
  2. Based on the 3 user stories, provided brief and existing Figma UI need to make new screens and interactions with shoe size select field.
  3. Using the provided Figma mockup as a base, design a functional prototype that demonstrates the size filter feature according to your user flow. Pay attention to the user experience and intuitive design elements.

Brief

We are looking to improve our online sneaker store’s user experience by introducing a shoe size filter feature. This feature should allow users to easily find sneakers available in their size, enhancing navigation and shopping experience. The following user stories offer context and requirements for the feature. Based on these, your task is to develop a Figma prototype illustrating how this functionality would be integrated into our platform.

User Story 1: Size Selection

As a user, I want to be able to filter sneakers by my shoe size,
So that I can see only those products that will fit me.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • The user can select the shoe size in the select field.
  • The filter should include a variety of shoe sizes.
  • The user can select size of the shoe in different formats EU, UK, US, CM.
  • As a user, I want to see if shoe size is out of stock.

User Story 2: Multiple Size Selection

As a user, I want to be able to select multiple shoe sizes,
So that I can view options for other people as well, like for gifting purposes.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • The filter should allow multiple size selections.
  • When multiple sizes are selected, the products that match any of those sizes should be displayed.

User Story 3: Size Guide Access

As a user, I want to have access to a size guide,
So that I can confirm my shoe size before making a purchase.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • A size guide should be easily accessible from the filter.
  • The size guide should provide detailed information on how to determine one’s shoe size.

Guidelines

  • Adhere to the best UX practices when designing the user flow and Figma prototype.
  • Make a copy from provided Figma mockup and design it
  • Remember to consider all potential users who may interact with the feature.
  • Be creative and innovative within the confines of our existing brand design.

Deadline

Please submit your completed task within 7 days of receiving it.

Assessment

Your work will be evaluated on the following:

  • The clarity and thoroughness of your user flow.
  • The effectiveness and creativity of your Figma prototype.
  • Your ability to articulate your design decisions.

Submission

Please submit your work to hr@boon.band of a shared Figma file and a document containing descriptions. We would also like a brief explanation of your design choices and how they enhance the user experience.

Remember, we’re looking for a glimpse into your design thinking process as well as your proficiency with Figma. Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and decision-making rationale alongside the actual designs.
